The University College of Economics and Culture
                  (Ekonomikas un kultūras augstskola)
                      Courses for international students
                             Academic year 2011/2012

The University College of Economics and Culture offers its international students two
forms of studying:
   - Courses in the form of individual tutoring/ consultations for ERASMUS
      students and
   - Courses joining student groups.

As in our University College the language of instruction in all the programmes is Latvian
(except “Translation and Interpretation” where classes are conducted in English), we
offer different courses for international students in English in the form of individual
tutoring/ consultations. The only provision is that there should be at least 2-3
international (ERASMUS) students per course.

Our students of the Department of Economics study a wide range of economy, finance
and management related courses, e.g. Human Resources Management, EU Economic
and Monetary Policy, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economic
Relations etc., while the students of the Cultural Management Department study
Cultural Policy, The History of World Art, Project Management etc.

The courses listed below under the title Courses in the form of individual tutoring/
consultations for ERASMUS students are given as examples. Prospective ERAMUS
students are requested to contact ERASMUS coordinator erasmus@eka.edu.lv for
more detailed information about courses.

International students are advised to choose also some courses from the list Courses
joining student groups because then you will have the possibility to join other students
and mix with the local students.
