Report by Borough Traffic Engineer, Earl Armitage, on research into the choice
between a Roundabout and a Modern Signal at Jenkintown’s West Gate-Way.
The Report and Question and Answer session lasted almost one and a half hours. Much
was learned and opinions were shared. It was decided (as requested by council
leadership) to leave the final decision to the full council without any committee vote
recommending one option or the other.

Report by Mary Stover P.E. of Pennoni Associates on H2O Grant Availability.
The newly available grant funding for assessment and repair of the Borough’s Sanitary
and Storm Sewer Systems was discussed. This program is scheduled for a very fast roll-
out. The rules and criteria for this new State Program are still not totally finalized, but
due to the importance of this issue to the well-being of the Borough, it was decided to
recommend to the council that they authorize The Borough Engineer to direct the
preparation of basic specifications for work that is needed within the Borough. It was
emphasized that when this funding becomes available, Jenkintown wants to be ready.

Respectfully submitted,
      Charles Clark
