                INTEGRATED AUDIO-VIDEO SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT

2.1     MANUFACTURERS

          A.     Basis-of-Design Manufacturer: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide
                 products of Crestron Electronics, Inc., Rockleigh, NJ 07647, Phone (800)237-
                 2041, Fax: (201)767-1903, www.crestron.com [or comparable products from a single
                 manufacturer approved by A/E prior to bidding], with the following components and
                 characteristics.

2.2     DIGITAL MEDIA PRESENTATION SYSTEM

          A.     Basis of Design Product: Crestron, DMPS-[100/200/300]-C Digital Media
                 Presentation System.

          B.     The Digital Media Presentation system shall be composed of the following:
                 1.    Central Switching and Control Unit - A single unit integrating the following
                       functions:
                       a.     Audio matrix switching.
                       b.     Microphone pre-amplification.
                       c.     Microphone and program audio mixing.
                       d.     Audio amplification.
                       e.     Digital multi-channel audio router.
                       f.     Analog to digital video transcoding.
                       g.     Video matrix switching.
                       h.     Single Cable Signal Transmission.
                       i.     System control processing.
                 2.    External Single Cable Signal Transmission transmitter and receiver units.
                 3.    System user interfaces.
                 4.    AV source devices.
                 5.    HDMI Video display devices.
                 6.    System devices under control.

        C.    The Digital media presentation system shall have a front panel control interface.
              1.    The front panel user interface shall control the following system functions:
                    a.     Volume control.
                    b.     Program audio mute.
                    c.     Source routing.

2.3    CENTRAL SWITCHING AND CONTROL UNIT

        A.    AUDIO MATRIX SWITCHER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include integrated audio matrix
                    switching.
              2.    Switcher Signal Routing
                    a.     Any stereo input signal shall be routable to:
                           1)    Any single stereo output.
                           2)    Multiple stereo outputs.
                           3)    Power amplifier input.
                           4)    HDMI output.
                           5)    Single Cable Signal Transmission transmitter output.
                    b.     The stereo switcher shall have 7 stereo inputs.
                    c.     Each stereo switcher input shall be internally connected to one of three
                           external connection types.
                           1)    Type 1 – Two mutually exclusive input connections switched into one
                                 switcher input.
                                 a)     Detachable terminal block - Balanced or unbalanced stereo line
                                        level analog audio.
                                 b)     19-pin Type A HDMI female connector with stereo audio.
                           2)    Type 2 – Three mutually exclusive input connections switched into
                                 one switcher input.
                                 a)     Detachable terminal block - Balanced or unbalanced stereo line
                                        level analog audio.
                                 b)     19-pin Type A HDMI female connector: stereo audio.
                                 c)     RCA female S/PDIF coaxial digital audio input: 2ch PCM
                           3)    Type 3 – One 8-pin RJ-45 shielded female Single Cable Signal
                                 Transmission compliant connector with stereo audio.

        B.    MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include microphone input
                    connections.
                    a.     Each microphone preamplifier input shall be connected to two mutually
                           exclusive input connections.
                           1)    Detachable terminal block - Balanced microphone level analog audio
                                 with switchable 48 volt DC phantom power.

                          2)     Detachable terminal block - Balanced or unbalanced line level analog
                                 audio.

        C.    MICROPHONE AND PROGRAM AUDIO MIXER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include integrated microphone and
                    stereo program audio mixing.
                    a.    All stereo audio outputs shall be capable of outputting independent
                          microphone and program audio mixes.
                          1)     All stereo sources and microphone sources shall be available
                                 simultaneously.
                          2)     All stereo sources and microphone sources shall have controllable
                                 levels in mixed output signal.

        D.    AUDIO AMPLIFIER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include integrated audio power
                    amplification.
                    a.    Three mutually exclusive amplifier modes.
                          1)     4 ohm, 8 ohm mode: Stereo, 20 Watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms or
                                 8 ohms.
                          2)     70V mode: mono, 40 Watts RMS per channel.
                          3)     100V mode: mono, 40 Watts RMS per channel.

        E.    ANALOG TO DIGITAL VIDEO TRANSCODER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall convert all analog video to digital
                    video at source resolution.
              2.    Video matrix switching shall be executed in the digital domain.

        F.    VIDEO MATRIX SWITCHER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include integrated video matrix
                    switching.
              2.    Switcher Signal Routing
                    a.    Any video input signal shall be routable to:
                          1)     Any single video output.
                          2)     Multiple video outputs.
                    b.    The video switcher shall have 7 inputs.
                    c.    Each switcher input shall be internally connected to one of four external
                          connection types.
                          1)     Type 1 – Two mutually exclusive input connections switched into one
                                 switcher input.
                                 a)     DB15HD female connector.
                                 b)     19-pin Type A HDMI female connector.
                          2)     Type 2 – Three mutually exclusive input connections switched into
                                 one switcher input.

                                 a)     DB15HD female connector.
                                 b)     19-pin Type A HDMI female connector.
                                 c)     Three BNC female connectors.
                          3)     Type 3 – One 19-pin Type A HDMI female connector.
                          4)     Type 4 – One 8-pin RJ-45 shielded female Single Cable Signal
                                 Transmission compliant connector.

        G.    SINGLE CABLE SIGNAL TRANSMISSION TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include integrated transmitter and
                    receiver connections for single cable signal transmission.
              2.    The single cable signal transmission technology shall support the following signal
                    and data types:
                    a.    Uncompressed video and audio.
                    b.    HDMI with HDCP.
                    c.    100Mbps Ethernet.
                    d.    USB HID.
                    e.    Bidirectional device control signals.
              3.    The single cable signal transmission technology shall utilize:
                    a.    Low cost standard Cat5e/6 LAN cable.
                    b.    Standard RJ-45 connectors.
              4.    The single cable signal transmission technology shall support cable lengths of 330
                    feet (100 meters).
              5.    The single cable signal transmission technology shall be capable of providing
                    power for compatible remote transmitter and receiver devices.

        H.    SYSTEM CONTROL PROCESSOR
              1.    The Central Switching And Control Unit shall include an integrated control
                    processor.
              2.    The microprocessor based controller shall have the following minimum
                    characteristics:
                    a.    Utilize a real time, event driven, multi-tasking, multi-threaded operating
                          system. Processor shall communicate directly with Ethernet, control ports
                          and proprietary control network utilizing high-speed, parallel bus
                          infrastructure.
                    b.    Control processor shall utilize a FAT32 file structure. Support internal
                          communications speed via two, independent communications busses.
                    c.    First control bus speed shall be at least 40 mb/s,
                    d.    Second control bus speed shall be at least 300 mb/s.
                    e.    Control system shall be capable of firing all IR ports simultaneously.
                    f.    Control System shall support 10/100 BaseT Ethernet Modules, via a direct
                          processor 300 mb/s communications bus that supports all of the following
                          features:

              3.    The control system shall be equipped with the following external connection ports:
                    a.    Infrared Output
                          1)      Four 2-pin 3.5mm detachable terminal blocks, IR/Serial output ports;
                                  a)      IR output up to 1.2 MHz; One-way serial TTL/RS-232 (0-5
                                          Volts) 2 up to 9600 baud
                    b.    Infrared Input
                          1)      One 3-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal block.
                                  a)      Supports RC-5 IR commands via external IR transmitters.
                    c.    Digital Input
                          1)      One 5-pin 3.5mm detachable terminal block.
                                  a)      Comprised of 4 digital/contact closure inputs.
                                  b)      Rated for 0-24 Volts DC, referenced to GND.
                                  c)      Input Impedance: 2.2k ohms pulled up to 5 Volts DC.
                                  d)      Logic Threshold: 2.5 Volts DC nominal with 1 Volt hysteresis
                                          band.
                    d.    Relay
                          1)      One 8-pin 3.5mm detachable terminal block.
                                  a)      Comprised of 4 normally open, isolated relays.
                                  b)      Rated 1 Amp, 30 Volts AC/DC
                                  c)      MOV arc suppression across contacts
                    e.    Serial Communication Port
                          1)      Two DB9 male, bidirectional RS-232 ports.
                          2)      Up to 115.2k baud, hardware and software handshaking support for
                                  communication with serial devices.

                    f.    Ethernet
                          1)      One 8-wire RJ45 with 2 LED indicators.

              4.    Multiple similar or identical systems may be connected and managed via an
                    enterprise level software management suite by same manufacturer.
