POSITION: Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for directing the
college’s process of strategic planning and institutional effectiveness, including ensuring college and program
accreditation compliance; operation of the college’s internal committee structure; external and internal grants
management; and directing the review, revision and documentation of all college policies, procedures, and
guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  Educational Level: Master’s Degree
  Three or more years of teaching or supervisory experience in a post-secondary institution.
  Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fill job responsibilities.
  Proficient skills: Leadership, Budget Management, Technology Application, Interpersonal Relations,
     Strategic and Tactical Planning, Organizational Skills, Written and Oral Presentation Skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  One year experience in Institutional Effectiveness operations, including experience in accreditation.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary $64,829.02 annually. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State
of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.

Executive Director Institutional Effectiveness
Academic Affairs                                                                   FLSA Status: Exempt

  JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for directing the college’s process of strategic
planning and institutional effectiveness, including ensuring college and program accreditation compliance;
operation of the college’s internal committee structure; external and internal grants management; and directing
the review, revision and documentation of all college policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  MAJOR DUTIES

     Directs the Institutional Effectiveness process for all aspects of the college.
     Directs the strategic planning process of the college.
     Ensures college-wide understanding of the purpose and process of strategic planning.
     Directs the review and appropriate revision of the college’s mission, vision, and goals.
     Serves as the college’s liaison with all appropriate regional, national, and programmatic accrediting
      bodies.
     Directs the process for maintaining accredited status for the college and program specific accreditations,
      certifications, memberships, and licensures.
     Provides interpretations and guidance to college personnel to ensure compliance with state, regional, and
      federal regulations.
     Directs the development of the college’s division, department and program goals, objectives, policies, and
      standards.
     Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of all college programs and services.
     Maintains the components of TCSG’s Performance Accountability processes.
     Oversees all college grant opportunities, including grant submission, documentation, compliance, and
      maintenance.
     Compiles information and directs submission/review/revision of all college policies, procedures, and
      guidelines in the Chattahoochee Administrative Manual.
     Ensures the provision of research services to all college divisions.
     Directs all college survey administration, including colleague survey, course evaluations, Noel-Levitz, etc
     Serves on appropriate college standing and ad hoc committees. Recommends to dean faculty and staff
      assignments to standing and ad hoc committees.
     Maintains an appropriate professional, community, and leadership presence, behavior, and image.
     Other responsibilities as directed by the VPAA.

  KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  SUPERVISORY CONTROLS

The VPAA assigns work in terms of college goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews the work through
conferences, reports, and observation of area activities.

  GUIDELINES

Guidelines include Chattahoochee Technical College policies and procedures, TCSG policies and procedures,
guidelines and requirements of all accrediting bodies, guidelines and requirements of individual grants. The
position requires a candidate who is self-directed, with higher critical thinking and problem solving abilities.

  COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

The work consists of various duties involving different and unrelated processes and methods. The variety of
tasks to be performed contributes to the complexity of the position. Success in this position contributes to the
efficient and effective delivery of all programs and services to the college community.

Contacts are typically to give or exchange information regarding planning, assessment, accreditation, college
policies and procedures, grants management, and college committee operations.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is typically performed sitting at a desk or table but includes standing and walking. Work is usually
performed in an office setting.

  SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Supervisory responsibility includes Internal Analyst, Institutional Effectiveness Coordinator, Grants Coordinator,
Institutional Effectiveness Technician.
