Major Completed Actions since last report (Short bulleted list
of the major actions completed since the last report.)
LWIA 1 Received 788 applications and 283 worksite requests for summer youth employment; certified 487 participants.
LWIA 2 Registered 110 for youth employment; Youth at work monitors visited 93 sites employing 211 youth participants.
LWIA 3 Conducted an additional orientation session for youth summer workers; conducted worksite supervisor training, and continue to assign students to worksites.
LWIA 4 continues enrollments into youth work experience; work readiness orientations have been completed in all counties.
LWIA 5 Held week-long Orientation Session across nine counties for youth trainees ages 14-21.
LWIA 7 had 430 youth to begin work experience and 96 students begin training.
LWIA 8 Started last group of summer youth in the Academic Academy with approximately 110 students.
LWIA 9 Started 325 youth in summer youth work experience
LWIA 10 Certification for 1,128 youth have been completed. Approximately 471 youth currently working.
LWIA 11 Worksites were developed for summer youth; eligibility determined for potential enrollees.
LWIA 12 Internships began in all counties within LWIA, continue to recruite and enroll for buyout/regular adult and dislocated wkr. Programs
LWIA 13 Employed 1,500 youth for summer employment
Major Planned Actions planned in the next week (Short
bulleted list of the major actions planned during the
State staff has begun to visit work-sites and interview youth in summer program, as well as supervisors.
State staff continues to provide technical assistance to Local Investment Areas.
