							                                     Employment Contract

Dreamland Day Care Center offers ________________________employment as _____________
effective _______ with an hourly rate of _________, to be paid on the fifth and the twentieth of
the month. ___________________ will work on a daily schedule from _____AM to _____PM,
subject to change with school needs, with a fifteen-minute break every four hours. Any employee
working a nine hour day will take a one hour unpaid lunch break.

All new employees will be on a ninety-day probation period. There will be an evaluation of
performance at the end of ninety days, which falls on ____________. After the evaluation, a
probation employee will be accepted as (1) a regular employee, (2) terminated or (3) placed on an
additional ninety-day probation. All employees are “at will.”

HOLIDAYS
All full time employees after the one year anniversary will be paid the following days: New Year,
Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving. Furthermore, employees working over a year (second year of
employment) will receive a paid vacation starting from the day after Christmas to December 31st.

PERSONAL FILE
A file for each employee will contain all required materials from the Department of Social
Services plus Child Abuse Report Form and __________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________.

REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR EMPLOYMENT
1. Continuing education in the form of in-service and SCAEYC workshops.
2. Participating in all school held programs.
3. Staff meetings.
4. Professional deportment and use of language that enhances the self-esteem of students and
   staff and to maintain the school’s professional reputation.
5. To hold parent conferences as designated.
6. Adherence to all policies as outlined in the Personnel Handbook.
7. To fulfill the scheduled work hours as agreed upon for daily opening, closing and general
   supervision of the children during classroom, lunch, nap, and outdoor time.
8. Any other requirements deemed to be necessary by the Director.

TERMINATION
Failure to adequately perform professional duties shall be grounds for termination. If you wish to
terminate your employment, a two (2) week written notice is required.
