JOB DESCRIPTION
Post: Employer Liaison Co-ordinator
Salary: £19,659 - £23,040
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year with 5 weeks annual leave
Reporting to: Director of Division
Summary of Post: To take a lead on programme development and framework
requirements of apprentices, work focused training and full cost
delivery, using Labour Market, Sector and Competitor
information to meet industry and customer needs. Manage own
case load of candidates towards timely completion and
achievement of full frameworks. To promote the Technology
area within the sector, securing repeat business and identifying
new business opportunities. To oversee quality assurance, case
loading, and performance management within the division. To
account manage identified businesses within the division.
General Duties and Responsibilities
1. To actively promote the division and secure repeat business and identify new
business opportunities.
2. To respond proactively to leads generated by the college to engage new
employers and recruit learners.
3. To take a lead in the development of training that is creative and innovative to
meet the needs of businesses within the sector.
4. To lead on coordinating the delivery of courses and offering advice to delivery
staff.
5. To ensure that knowledge and understanding of the division is up to date
through Labour Market, Competitor and Sector Skills Council information.
6. To be fully conversant with funding initiatives and government priorities and
plan modes of delivery that, ensure cost-effectiveness whilst maintaining high
standards of outcomes.
7. To carry out regular student reviews, to meet requirements of funding
guidelines
8. To coordinate delivery of the external contracts, and lead on achievement and
quality processes, hold regular meetings with relevant staff in relation to
candidates.
9. To effectively gather, collate and use employer and learner feedback to
improve the service and provision offered to stakeholders.
10. To account manage key businesses within the sector ensuring that their
business training needs are regularly evaluated, met and recorded to the
Customer Relationship Management system.
11. To quality assure the provision within Division of all ER funded courses.
12. To regularly report to the Director on progress towards targets in terms of
success, financial and recruitment outcomes.
13. To manage, assess and progress own case load of learners towards timely
completion and deliver individual and group training as required.
14. To take a lead on the development of e-learning within own sector including
the maximisation of e-portfolios and the VLE for on-line programmes.
15. To embrace the opportunity and need for continual self and team
development, contributing by example to an environment of service
excellence
16. To participate in the College’s performance management system
17. To take an active role in supporting the College’s ethos and values

1. A qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in subject knowledge
relevant to delivery. √
2. At least 2 years of supervising the activities of Apprentices.
