					Dear aspiring farmers,

Thank you for your interest in the North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship
Program (NABDAP). As you may know, the first step in becoming a part of our
program is to find an apprenticeship at one of our participating mentor farms. After you
are accepted at a farm, you can enroll in the program and begin working towards your
certificate in biodynamic agriculture.

Winter is the season when most farms hire apprentices, so if you would like to join
NABDAP this year, now is the best time to secure a spot with one of our mentor farmers.
In order to help you find an apprenticeship, I have contacted all of our mentor farms to
find out whether they are still accepting applications for 2011.

Below is a list of all of our mentor farms. Next to each farm's name, I've indicated either
the number of openings available, or "full" if they have filled all positions for the coming
season. If nothing is indicated next to a farm name, I have not heard back yet from that
farm, and you will need to inquire directly if you are interested in working with them.

To find out more about the farms and get contact info for the farmers, click on the farm
name below or find their page on our website (www.bdtraining.org). It is also a good idea
to look at a farm's own website (linked on our site when available) to get a better sense of
the farm before you call or email to inquire about apprenticeships. Some farms also have
application forms on their websites. If there is a specific farm that you'd like to work with
that is not on this list, it is possible work towards NABDAP certification at that farm as
long as the farmer is willing to participate in the program. Please contact me for more
details.

I've attached to this email an article that provides helpful advice on finding and making
the most of a farm apprenticeship, as well as an overview of our program's components
and requirements. If you have any questions about NABDAP, please let me know.

Best of luck,
Thea
