Rate of Pay: $20/hr

OVERVIEW

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) is an after-school program
serving elementary school children in the Massillon City School District. The goal of
CCLC is to 1) improve student achievement; 2) improve classroom performance; 3)
improve school attendance; and 4) decrease disciplinary referrals.

Under the supervision of the Site Coordinator, the Teacher will work with the
second and third -grade students. The Teacher/Mentor will serve as teacher,
mentor, and role model and will provide encouragement and support to the
students.

Roles and Responsibilities

      Provide assistance with homework

      Ability to use assessments for planning instruction

      Provide instruction and support to students in Math and Reading that are
       based upon scientifically based research

      Provide targeted interventions for specific students

      Role model appropriate behavior for and promote teamwork

      Assist in emergency situations

      Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      Bachelor’s Degree in Education/ Licensed /Certified;
      Experience working with elementary students; and the
      Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and the community at large.

Salary: $20/hr.
Hours: Monday-Friday; 3:30PM-6:00PM
