                                 Dr. Suzie DePrez, the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum for
                                 Mesa Public Schools is coming to Crismon to provide a presentation
    Calendar Notes               about the upcoming Override election and MPS budget outlook.
                                 Please plan to join us in the MPR for this presentation. It will help you
   Fall Picture Day             to understand some of the challenges and complexities that we face
    September 18th               both as a school and as a region for those with students at Rhodes or
                                 Dobson. We hope to see you there. The meeting will begin promptly at
                                 6:30 p.m.
   MPS Override & Budget
    Presentation- 6:30 p.m.      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
     September 24th -MPR         Fundraiser Kick-Off….Crismon students and our fabulous PTA have
                                 put together a great fundraiser campaign to help raise funds for student
   Kinder Teddy Bear Picnic     activities. Students should never go out to sell items door to door or
    September 25th               approach strangers. Classes will get information and materials on
                                 Thursday afternoon to help get us started. We hope you find something
   Community Health Fair        of interest to help support our PTA.

                                 Health Suspensions---Students that have not met their current shot
                                 requirements for this year have until September 18 to complete the required
   Walk to School Day           series. Any student that has not completed their shots by that date will face an
    October 7th                  out of school suspension until the shots are completed and documentation is
                                 presented to the school. Letters were sent to those students that need to
   Sixth Grade Field trip-      complete this requirement. Call our Health Office at 472-4048 with questions.

   End of First Quarter         Cafeteria News-
                                 The child nutrition staff from Crismon would like to thank all the parents
    October 9th
                                 and students for their participation in the meal program. We strive on a
    Early Release @ 12:55 pm     daily basis to serve nutritious choices to prepare and sustain our
                                 students so that they are ready to learn each and every day.
   Fall Break - No School
    October 12-16                Did you know? If your family has been faced with financial hardship
                                 such as loss of a job, reduction in work hours or change in household
   Parent Conference Week       size, you may be eligible for the Free & Reduced meal program. You
    October 19-22                can get an application from the front office or the cafeteria office. All
    School Dismisses @ 1:55      you need to do is fill it out and return it back to the school.

                                 You will be notified within ten days of the status of your application. If
