The 403 PRO-40 comes with no mains lead as it must be hard wired. Inside the 403 PRO-40 the

‘FL’ - Flood Overide
Changing Pattern Stepping Speed:

time the pattern is automatically changed. Once the controller has repeated pattern 32 a few times it
will automatically go back to pattern 1.
‘3c/4C’ - 3 or 4 Channels Selection.
Whilst holding the ‘Shift’ button pressing the ‘Animation’ button will switch the controller between
3 channel and 4 channel modes. The display will show 3c if the controller has been switched into 3
channel mode or 4c if it has been switched into 4 channel mode. Although the controller doesn’t use
channel 4 when it is in 3 channel mode, the manual overide buttons on a 403 PRO will still operate
on all four channels.
Dimming Modes of Operation
Master Level Output Modes:
The controller has a master dimming control which can be varied from 1% power to 99% power. On each press of the ‘Output’ button, the controller will change output modes in the following

CH3 OUTPUTS ‘Bass Chase’: The pattern will change (step) each time a bass beat is detected or when the
Master Level music has a bass content.
‘Sound to Light’: The lights will no longer follow a regular pattern but will represent the sound
Channel Levels of the music. Lighting channel 1 will respond to the bass content of the
sound, channel 2 the mid content and so on.
‘Patterns Off’: (Only available on the DX403 PRO.)
All four channels will be under your manual control only. The display will
show PO. You will still be able to see and alter the chase pattern using the
‘Shift’ button and either the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ button. See ‘Flash Overide’
and ‘Latch Overide’.
Setup Memory & Resetting Factory Settings
Whenever the controller is powered up it will be setup exactly the same as when the power was last
removed. This feature is ideal for applications where the controller is always used in the same mode
as it can then be positioned out of reach and simply switched on and off when required at the mains
supply. At any time the controller can be reset to its factory settings by holding the ‘Shift’ button
whilst switching it on at the mains supply.Spikes etc in the power supply can sometimes upset the
processor, do a factory reset if this occurs to clear the memory.
