                        R/W COST ESTIMATE INSTRUCTION FORM

The R/W Cost Estimate form was developed to make the Project budgeting process a more automated and precise
function for the Districts to perform. Listed below are instructions intended to answer most questions that will arise.
Please keep in mind during the implementation of this new format I will be available to answer any questions that
may not be covered below. I can be reached at ext. 8519 and am open for any suggestions that will improve this
process.

1. The first and most important thing to remember about this form is not to be afraid of it. All portions of
this form that are not intended to be changed by the user are cell protected and cannot be changed. In addition to this
protection, I assure you I have many back-up copies should your original form be damaged in any manner.

2. Please notice that the electronic form is shown in three different font colors (black, red and blue). All black font
items are items that will remain constant and do not need to be changed by the user. All red font items are items that
need to be addressed by the user and can be filled in using text or numbers or both text and numbers. All blue font
items are items that need to be addressed by the user and need to be filled in using only numbers. If you should
accidently place text in these boxes simply replace the text with numbers. No damage to the form will result. Unless
you are printing on a color printer the form will print in black and white which is the suggested format for printing.

3. As you will notice, the calculations will be made automatically for you but in order for the numbers to be correct it
is important that you place correct numbers in the blue boxes and that every blue box be filled out with a number.
Although not required, it is suggested that you place a zero in the box if no number is applicable just to make sure
you have addressed each box.

4. For ease of use you may use your tab key to jump from input box to input box, but this is not required and you may
accomplish the same results by using the arrow keys to move around the form.

The above tips should cover most questions about this form but again, should you have any further questions or
