General Information: The following outlines an agreement between CCP’s Architecture and Interior Design (Architecture Option)
curriculum and the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at Temple. For the agreement to take effect, a student must complete
the A.A. degree with an architecture option with at least a GPA of 2.5. The student must also present a portfolio of all work completed
in design studios to a Temple review committee. The student should work closely with Paula Behrens, CCP Design Technologies
Department Head (751-8826, Rm. W4-5), to prepare for admission to Temple.
Students enrolled in the Architecture and Interior Design curriculum are eligible for the dual admissions agreement. The dual
admissions agreement stipulates that students must satisfy all requirements for the associate degree. Students who first enroll at CCP in
Fall 1996 or after are also eligible for the core-to-core agreement. The core-to-core stipulates that a student who earns the A.A.
satisfies all Temple University core requirements except in cases in which the student’s major requires certain courses. Temple’s
architecture program stipulates specific university core requirements for quantitative reasoning, science and technology and arts. CCP
curriculum courses address these requirements. The core-to-core student must complete two writing intensive courses after transfer to
Temple. A student with an earned A.A. is accepted as a core-to-core student at the time Temple receives the student’s final transcript.
Students who do not earn an A.A. and student who enrolled at CCP before Fall 1996 are responsible for the University core
requirement. Consult a CCP counselor about the university core requirement.
