Outline of Responsibilities

The Leadership Team at Kesgrave High School operates in a supportive and flexible
manner, and the roles will be negotiated both to develop expertise and to give the successful
candidates fresh challenges. You will have the opportunity to lead the development of new
innovations in the school and you will be expected to work, for example, in the following
areas of responsibility:

              Teaching and Learning
              Curriculum Development
              Staff development and welfare
 Oversight of the Pastoral system/inclusion
 Strategic Planning – short and long term

All members of the Leadership Team are involved in ‘coaching’ curriculum and pastoral
middle managers in the school. We also operate a Senior Management Team (Headteacher
and three Deputy Headteachers) which meets at least once every week to co-ordinate
leadership and management across the school
                                                                                    May 2012
