Principal Assistant Principal
Dear Parents and Students of East Aiken School of the Arts:
As the incoming principal of East Aiken School of the Arts I would like to introduce myself and
our new faculty/staff members. My name is Lisa Fallaw. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
elementary education from Clemson University, a Master of Education degree from Columbia
College, and an Educational Specialist Degree in school administration/leadership from
Cambridge College. I taught special education for 16 years and was an assistant principal for 3
years all in the Aiken County School District. The newest faculty/staff members are: Tara
Gardner 1st grade, Ivy Peteet 2nd grade, Kasie Granner 4th grade, Catherine Hasty 4th grade, Lisa
Oliver 5th grade, April Longpre’ 5th grade, and Dalphine Woodward special ed. aide in Ms.
Timandi’s room. Ms. LaJuano Parrish will be returning to East Aiken School of the Arts as a
special ed. aide in 4th grade.
The administration and faculty/staff would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to East
Aiken School of the Arts. We look forward to assisting your child in fulfilling his/her academic
goals! At East Aiken School of the Arts, we believe parents are our partners in educating the
children of our community and preparing our children to be lifelong learners. Cooperation and
communication between the home and school play a major role in a child’s success at school. We
welcome parent participation and support during the school year. When we work together as a
team, we are able to accomplish more in our pursuit of excellence.
As we begin the 2012-2013 school year, I would like to remind parents and students the
importance of the student agenda. The student agenda is provided to each student to help
promote student achievement, organization, and responsibility as well as increase home-school
communication. The student agenda is designed to assist students in organizing daily, weekly
and long-term assignments. The student agenda is also designed to familiarize you and your child
with school policies, procedures, services and programs. It is always helpful when parents and
students review the contents of the agenda together.
Again, we welcome you to the 2012-2013 school year! We invite you to come and join us on our
journey for excellence in education through the arts at East Aiken School of the Arts!
Lisa A. Fallaw
