Position:                       Regional Headteacher

Responsible to:                 Director of Education

Direct Reports:                 School Leaders

Overall Objectives:
Supporting the Director of Education and Head of Education in delivering the education vision and
strategy across the organisation.

Main purpose of the Job:
    • Provide direction, leadership and line management support to School Leaders overseeing overall
       performance and effectiveness.
    • Liaise with School Leaders to ensure that both internal and external pupils are receiving the
       appropriate levels of education within the region and that all education statements are being
    • Provide professional supervision to School Leaders on a monthly basis.
    • Oversee all matters in relation to safeguarding and child protection within the region ensuring
       that all relevant third parties are involved as appropriate and that matters are dealt with in line
       with Company policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
Performance across schools in the region
    • To support schools towards achieving outstanding outcomes as judged by OfSTED inspections
    • Collate & monitoring weekly KPIs for the region identifying any key areas of concern and
       preparing/delivering appropriate action plans to address the issues as appropriate, seeking
       additional support where required.
    • Report all regional KPIs to Director of Education.
    • Implement quality assurance methods to ensure that standards of education and pupil outcomes
       are assessed appropriately and that education is delivered to a high standard, meeting the
       needs of the pupil and parent/guardian/local authority.
    • To support School Leaders in undertaking school self-evaluation.
    •  To support School Leaders where the performance and effectiveness of the School becomes a
       cause for concern taking direct leadership within the School where required.
    • Ensure effective assessment of curriculum, learning and teaching are being undertaken
       managing any areas requiring development/support.
    • Ensure that all schools within the region are compliant with statutory regulations.
    • Ensure that all measures are in place and preparation effectively undertaken to meet regulatory
    • Oversee and monitor regional improvements plans which embrace school improvement plans.
    • Oversee the education/curriculum delivery within the region; leading on innovative education
       activities to meet pupil needs and facilitate best possible outcomes for young people.

    • In liaison with the Head of Education & Director of Education lead on activities to secure the
       growth and development of the business and schools within the region.
    • In partnership with the business development team ensure that activities are implemented to
       facilitate high occupancy levels within the school with the overall goal of meeting full capacity.
    • Arrange and attend regular meetings with LA officers to develop positive relationships.
    • Ensure regular monitoring of profit & loss/financial management of the schools and take
       appropriate action to meet budget expectations.
    • Liaise with Regional Managers to support the co-ordination of care, education and therapy.
    • Liaise with the LA/School Commissioning Officer and Commissioning Managers regarding
       marketing and management of referrals.
    • To be involved in the submission of new tenders and business opportunities within the Region.
    • To carry out other duties reasonably requested, which fall within the remit of the role and the
       capabilities of the post holder.
