Jon Devine is Senior Economist with Cotton Incorporated. In this role,
Devine conducts a range of economic research focused on cotton prices
and the cotton supply chain. Analytical findings are regularly shared
with top management of market participants ranging from manufacturers to retailers. Current research
includes an investigation regarding the effects of record prices and volatility during the 2010/11 crop
year on prices and demand downstream in cotton supply chains. Devine joined Cotton Incorporated in
2008. Prior to that, he was a graduate student at the University of Maine, where he earned Master of
Science degrees in Resource Economics & Policy and in Spatial Information Science & Engineering.
