POLICE DOGS IN SCHOOL
Yrs 5 & 6 enjoyed an exciting fun afternoon on Monday with a visit from PC Simmonds with
his dogs. They enjoyed a slide show showing the work of a Police Dog and then were treated
to a visit from the stars of the show, Belgium Sheppard ‘Reeba’ and Black Labrador ‘Sam’ all
children thoroughly enjoyed listening and then asking questions.
    PANTO TRIP

    The annual trip to the Marlowe will take place on Thursday 19 January. You should have received a
    letter confirming all details of lunch and times, spare copies are available from the office should you
    need one.

    REMINDER PENALTY NOTICES
    A letter has been sent out today regarding Penalty Notices for Unauthorised Absences. Schools adhere
    to the Kent Local Authority providing Penalty Notices for 5 days unauthorised absences during a term.
    This is following the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 (Section 23). If you have any queries please come
    in and see Becky. Thank you for your support.

    HEADLICE
                      Sadly we have had some reported cases of head lice, could you please check your
                      children’s hair over the weekend and treat if necessary. If you find unwanted visitors
                      please make sure that you treat everyone in the household to eradicate the problem. If
                      we all check and treat at the same time we can remove the problem completely. Thank
                      you for the help with this matter.

    SCHOOL DINNERS

    During the week beginning 16 January 2012 it will be week 1. Copies of the menu are
    available in the office. Please remember dinners MUST be paid for in advance. The
    kitchen are no longer able to feed the children if dinner money is not paid in advance.
    £2.20 per day £11.00 per week.

    REMINDER - ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL
    Can you please ring into the school before 9.30 if your child is absent from school so that we know that
    they are safe. Failure to do this will also result in an unauthorised mark in the register for your child.


                      The winners of Attendance Ted this week are 1SB and 5CB. Well done to you all.

    WALKING BUG Thank you to everyone for taking part in the Kent Walk to
