                                                                  6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Dear VBS Parent:

Thank you for allowing your child to attend VBS! We pray that your child will be blessed, and
we hope that they will be able to attend every night. If they cannot attend all 6 nights, that is
OK. Bring them when you can. Please read the following information and let us know if you
have any questions.

Drop Off and Pick Up: Please drop off your child in the Sanctuary a few minutes before 6:30
p.m. each night. You may pick up your child in our Sanctuary at 8:30 p.m. No child will be
released without a parent or other authorized adult. You must come into the building to get your
children. Please do not tell them to meet you in the parking lot.

Closing Ceremonies: On Friday, July 20, we will have our closing ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. in
the Sanctuary. You won’t want to miss watching the children perform the songs they have been
practicing all week!

Family Carnival: We will hold a carnival for all VBS families on Friday night immediately
following the Closing Ceremonies. We will have games and prizes, as well as hot dogs and
other snacks & drinks.

Mission Project: This year’s Mission Project is our Pregnancy Care Center. We will collect an
offering each night. We suggest that children do some extra chores to earn money for the
offering. Our goal is to raise $2,000 during VBS. To make this fun, we will have a coin contest
on Wednesday night. The team that brings the most coins (by weight) will receive a prize. Also,
at any point during the week if the children would like to donate diapers, wipes, baby clothing,
bottles, etc.., there will be a crib in the sanctuary to place those items! To make this fun, we will
have a crib contest on Thursday night. The team that brings the most baby items to fill the crib
(by count) will receive a prize as well. Our 5th & 6th graders will also be making no-sew pillows
to donate to the Pregnancy Care Center.

Bible Verses: We have one Bible Verse for the children to learn this week. It is a long one, so
we will work on a small part each night. At the Family Carnival on Friday night, if your child
can say the entire verse, they will win a prize. The verse is:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

If You Don’t Have a Church Home: Does your family have a church home? If not, we would
love to have your family visit us. We have a variety of activities for people of all ages. Our
Wednesday night programs will start back up on August 22, 2012. We have dinner @ 6:00 and
classes for all ages @ 7:00. Just let our church office know, if you plan on coming for dinner,

Questions: If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of the VBS volunteers,
or contact Amber Taylor at 522-1909 or by e-mail at Amber@fbchome.org. Again, thank you
for bringing your child to VBS. We hope that your entire family will be blessed by the
