					                 Première Urgence-Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is an international non-
                governmental organization whose mandate is to bring a comprehensive response to the essential
                needs of populations suffering from humanitarian crises in emergencies until autonomy and
                dignity can be obtained. Operational in 16 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caucasus
                and the Caribbean, PU-AMI works in the areas of food security, health, nutrition, rehabilitation of
                infrastructure, water and sanitation and economic recovery. PU-AMI is the result of the merger
between two NGO’s: Première Urgence and Aide Médicale Internationale in 2011.
PU-AMI has been running projects in 3 regions in Myanmar since 2001:
     Dala Township (South Yangon Division): Water and Sanitation, RH, prevention and treatment of STI and
     HIV activities
     Wa Region (Shan State): Primary Health Care and Mother and Child Health activities
     Tanintharyi Region: Primary Health Care, Reproductive Health and Hygiene activities

            Community Mobilization Supervisor (Number of position (1))
Job location: Dala Seikkyi and Twanty Township, South Yangon Division
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: 9 months
Vacancy opening date: 7th September 2012
Vacancy closing date: 21st September 2012


                                                 Main Objectives
The CMS is responsible to conduct Community Mobilization activities based on Community Action Cycle
approach (though Self Help Groups, Water and Village Committees), according to the project proposal and work
plan.

She/he leads one of the CMA teams and works under the responsibility of the Community Mobilization Officer
(CMO). The CMS works in close collaboration with the other CM Supervisors and in technical link with the
Community Mobilization Adviser (CM Ad).

                                                   Activities
1. Project activities implementation management
    - Organise his/her team’s activities implementation in accordance with the work plan
    - Plan the daily schedule and provide the needed means
    - Actively participate on the field as guidance
    - Supervise his/her CMA team on a daily basis for the activities implementation

2. Monitoring and Evaluation of the activities
    - Monitor the activities on the field, using participatory approach and appropriate formats
    - Using a participatory approach, evaluate the activities with the Self Help Groups, Water and Village
       Committees
    - Propose ways of improvement of the activities

3. Coordination and Communication
    - Actively participate in team meetings and internal trainings
    - Share the useful information and collaborate within the projects teams
    - Closely coordinate with the community (resources persons or committees…) at all project steps
    - Ensure a good communication with the community members and the local authorities
    - Provide activities reports on time, with analysis and recommendations



4. Pedagogic tools and methodology
    - Effectively use IEC material and other pedagogic tools
    - Manage the use of the IEC by his/her team, on daily basis
    - Using a participatory approach, asses the tools with the Self Help Groups, Water and Village Committees
    - Propose ways of improvement of the tools kit
    - Give opinion on improvement ways of CM methodology

    Make sure his/her CMA team mainstreams, as much as possible, at all project steps, the 4 cross cutting
    topics:
    - Gender approach
    - People with disability inclusion
    - Disaster Risk Reduction
    - Environment protection

Requirements:

-Qualification/Background: Any Graduate (or) Relevant educational or experiential qualifications in related
disciplines
- Language:                English/ Myanmar
- Computer skills:         Experienced user of Micro-soft Office—Word, Excel, Power Point
- Work experience:         At least 1 years experience in Community Development Projects and training in village
                           volunteers.
- Others:                  High degree of initiative and ability to solve problems
