Welcome to 7 Grade Math. Everyone should expect to be treated fairly, kindly, and
respectfully. We will follow the school’s rules as well as a few of our own.
 Respect each other and their property.
 Come to class prepared and on time. There will be no locker visits during class.
 To leave the room during class, you must sign out and take the pass.
 Use a proper heading on your papers. It should be in the upper left corner.
                Name (first and last)
                Date (date assigned or due)
                Class Period
Assignment (Chapter and Section 3.1, 3.2…or the specific name or page)
Supplies needed each day are pencil, 3-ring Math only binder with notebook, loose leaf
paper, planner, calculator (TI 34II is preferred but any scientific calculator should be fine.)
Other supplies may be used throughout the year. Ample warning will be given for those.
Grades will be based on points. The amount of points on a particular assignment will be
determined by the amount of work involved to complete it. Students will keep a running total of
their points and should know their average any given day. Late assignments will be given half
credit. Parents can use Student Access on the internet to view their student’s progress.
Weekly Lesson Plans will be given to each student at the beginning of the week. These
are also posted on my website and the homework page on the School District’s home page.
Weekly Bonus Enrichment is due the last day of each week. Activities will be worth 15-
20 points. Points will accumulate and become a grade out of 50 points at the end of each grading
period. Extra credit of up to 50 points may also be earned on this grade. While students are not
required to do all of the weekly Bonus assignments, they need to complete as many as possible to
earn their 50 point grade by the end of the nine weeks.
Textbooks and COACH books will be used throughout the year. COACH order forms
will be sent home with your student.
