1. What were the three discoveries in America? Include the important people/groups, dates, and events in
answer.
2. Explain the different regions of Native American groups in what is now the present day United States.
Discuss how the environment impacted their lives in terms of homes, lifestyles etc. You are only
expected to include information gone over in class.
3. What motivations did Europeans have to begin exploration? What technologies allowed them to do so?
What factors allowed Europeans to dominate and conquer the Native Americans in the New World?
4. Describe the first encounter between the Spanish and the Aztec; include all people, dates, events and
misconceptions involved.
