Compact and Durable Cordless drill / screwdrivers
BS 14.4 Li
BS 18 Li
Increased battery capacity despite compact size: Metabo brings
new cordless drill/screwdrivers to the market, the BS 14.4 Li and
BS 18 Li.
Nürtingen, January 2012: Maintaining existing strengths and
combining them with the latest technological advances. This is the
motto that Metabo has applied in the complete redesign of its two
cordless drill/drivers, the BS 14.4 Li and BS 18 Li. The reliable
performance capability remains in place, but the battery capacity has
been increased from 1.3 Ah to 1.5 Ah – giving the two drill/drivers more
screwdriving performance per battery pack. Metabo is the only
manufacturer to fit tools of this class with a cell capacity display which
allows the user to gauge how much more work can be carried out with
the current charge. In order to make the most efficient and safe use of
the saved energy, Metabo has also implemented its latest optimised
battery technology in this class. The new Ultra-M-Technology is
characterised by the first class intelligent battery management providing
integrated single cell monitoring and processor-controlled charge and
discharge. Metabo is also the only manufacturer to offer a three year
guarantee on the lithium ion battery packs with no charge cycle
limitation. The overload protection provides both the tool and the user
with the highest possible level of safety. The LED working light and the
soft grip bit holder are practical features which make daily use easier.
The BS 14.4 Li and BS 18 Li have been part of the Metabo range since
2009. "Because of the rapid developments in technology, we constantly
return our successful products and technologies to the test rig“, says
Martin Egenrieder, Product Manager for drills and battery packs at
Metabo. "We want to be in a position to offer the best possible solutions
to ease the day-to-day work of professional users at all times. For this
reason, we regularly revise our tried and tested tools such as the BS
14.4 Li and BS 18 Li.“ The two new drill/screwdrivers will be in the
stores as of March.
