Welcome Wildcats! We are anxiously awaiting your arrival. School begins on Thursday, August 16.
Please plan on arriving between 8:15 and 8:30 that morning. You will go directly to the auditorium to
pick up your schedule. Tables will be arranged by grade and last name. There will be many adults
and student helpers on board to assist you.
We will have yearbooks on sale in front of the auditorium that morning for $45. Yearbooks come in
June and are a terrific way to remember your time at LMMS.
You may purchase a PE uniform from LMMS that first week of school by going to the office and
giving them $20 cash or check (make out the checks to LMMS). Our office will be open on August 1
and everyday thereafter from 7:30 am-4:00 pm. You may come in at any time during that time to
purchase your PE clothes. You may also simply bring a dark blue pair of PE-type short and a plain
gray shirt for PE without having to purchase the school uniform. You’ll need separate shoes for PE.
You will need a combination lock for your PE locker.
On the first day AND everyday after that, you should always have:
a large 3-ring binder
6 folders-one for each class that can also act as dividers
5-6 #2 pencils or mechanical pencils
two red pens
two black or blue pens
recommended: small pencil sharpener, colored pencils, pencil case for your binder
Your teachers may have specific requests for their classes.
You will receive an school planner on August 16.
Cell phones are allowed but must be in your backpack and turned off. Please visit our website at
http://www.lmsvsd.org/lamesams for specifics about dress code and other rules, school hours, and
other important information. Click on “student handbook” for details.
You must have your TDAP immunization. If you do not have proof of that, you will not be allowed in
class until you do. Make sure your parent or guardian brings this to the school office.
We are very excited to welcome you to our LMMS Family. Your teachers will provide an orientation
for you on the first day. Remember that we are ALL here to help you. You should never be shy
about seeking help or asking questions.
Enjoy your summer! We’ll see you on August 16. 7th Grade Orientation will be on August 15 from
