DOG TRAINING CLASSES & WORKSHOPS THERAPY DOG WORKSHOP March 6th 9-5 If you have ever thought about doing therapy work with your dog, this workshop is for you! In this workshop we will work on therapy dog skills and discuss the temperament necessary for both the dogs and the humans who are interested in being a Therapy Dog team.. You will also learn about the different therapy organizations and their rules and guidelines, as well as how to get involved in therapy work. The workshop utilizes real life situations to familiarize dogs and handlers with different experiences they may have as Therapy Dog Team. This is a hands-on workshop for both dogs and handlers. To participate you will need to bring: your dog, a crate, appropriate collar (no pinch, prong or e-collar) and 4 foot leash (no retractable), current veterinary records including negative fecal exam, comfort items for you and your dog, plenty of treats for your dog, and a positive attitude. Would you like to spend a fun evening learning with your dog? Then this class is just what the two of you need. You and your dog will be taught basic obedience skills and management and behavior modification based on scientific dog learning theory all by using positive reinforcement techniques. This class is offered to dogs from 6 months of age and up. No matter how old your dog is, it is never too late to learn. No aggressive dogs are allowed in this class. **No Dogs the first night of class ** First night of class for both Puppy & Companion I on March 9 is from 6:30- 7:30/8:00pm ish All dogs must have a current Health Certificate from their Veterinarian.
