To Whom It May Concern:

My name is _________ and I am an independent filmmaker in Burlington, Vermont. I am currently
planning to produce a low-budget 30 minute documentary film (tentatively titled What’s to Question) this
summer, and I am writing to seek authorization to use the product Coca-Cola in my production.

The movie is a documentary about a group of friends who are trying to find out what has happened to
“curiosity” in American culture. In the movie, there are several scenes at a deli where people are
drinking Cokes and discussing the fine art of question asking.

I am not writing in hopes of receiving any pay from you in exchange for featuring your product; all I am
asking for is the permission to show the brand name on screen.
