Wellcome Trust Advanced Courses Terms and Conditions:
Molecular Approaches to Clinical Microbiology in Africa
                     25 May-1 June 2013, Blantyre, Malawi

 There is no course fee for clinicians and academics from non-commercial
institutions. Commercial applicant fee is £1500.
 The course will be taught in English.
 Only full applications will be considered - all applicants must specify their
research project and how the course will aid their research.
 All applicants must specify a sponsor - this is a research supervisor who
knows your work. The sponsor must fill in the sponsor's section,
guaranteeing travel costs for the course. Applications without a sponsor
    will be rejected.
 All applications and sponsor letters should arrive no later than 11 January
    2013.
 Bursaries are available to scientists from non-commercial institutions only.
 Bursaries will be awarded by the Selection Committee, based on merit of the
applicants. The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
 The maximum bursary will be £750, for travel and accommodation
assistance. The total bursary award will depend on the number of applicants
of high merit and their travel/accommodation costs.
 Participants must aim to arrive for the start of the course, and not plan to
depart before the scheduled finish time. It is very disruptive to the instructors
if participants arrive late or depart early. Non-attendance during the course
may be reported to the Supervisor or Sponsor.
 Participants must have appropriate travel and medical insurance for the
duration of their stay. The Wellcome Trust will not be responsible for any
travel costs incurred (outside of bursary payments, where awarded), nor
    medical costs.
 Bursary awards will be paid towards the end of the course, upon production
of original receipts for travel (economy/budget/second class) to participants
    who have attended the course.
 No bursary payments will be paid to any accepted applicants who do not
    attend the course.
 If you wish to apply for a bursary, please read our bursaries page:
    http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/Education-resources/Courses-and-
    conferences/Conference-centres/WTX036701.htm
Applications without a sponsor’s letter of recommendation stating why
you need the bursary will be rejected.
 All correspondence should be sent to: Wellcome Trust Advanced Courses,
Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridgeshire, CB10 1SA, UK,
or faxed to: +44 (0) 1223 495130 or sent by email to
    opendoor@hinxton.wellcome.ac.uk.
