							Student Car Parking Permit Application for Kedleston Road – Part 2
Parking at Kedleston Road is limited due to the number of spaces available and we only consider
applications from students who have an exceptional need to park on-site. Full time students need
to complete the details below to allow an accurate assessment of your application.


Section A - Reason for application - Disability

Please indicate below why you need to park on-site:

Disability (This must be a significant barrier to accessing your studies without on-site
parking and can be considered the sole reason for your application. If you meet this criteria,
please proceed to the evidence section).

I have a temporary disability

I am a disabled student without a Blue Badge

Maternity

Pregnancy (over 25 weeks)

When applying using the reasons below, two or more reasons must be selected
from the following or your application will not meet the criteria:

Section B – Other reason for application (two must be selected for your application
to be considered)

Child Care

I have children under 11 years of age impacting my ability to attend early teaching before 09:30
without parking on-site.

Carer Responsibilities

I have carer responsibilities close to the start / finish times of my study that cannot be completed
without parking on-site.

Distance

My term time address is more than 15 miles from University and I will be unable to complete my
study commitments without parking on-site.

Timetable

I have early teaching class times before 09:30 or late finish times that require me to park on-site to
fulfil my study commitments.
Section D - Evidence

To support your application you must provide supporting evidence to allow your application to be
considered. Further information is given below as to what evidence is accepted and you will need
to indicate which type of evidence you have provided. If no evidence is submitted, your application
will be returned to you, with the exception of distance where we will calculate your journey details
for you.

All Applicants

All applications must include a detailed timetable of study commitments. This must show class
details with start / finish times .

Disability (For temporary disabilities, permits will only be issued for the period of need)

A doctors note

or

A letter from your doctor or specialist on headed paper. This must give details
of your disability or medical condition, how long you will be affected and why
this means you need to park on-site.

Maternity (permit will only be issued for the period of need)

A copy of your MAT B1 evidence or equivalent showing confirmation of expected due date (EDD).


Child Care

Copies of Birth Certificates or proof of receipt of Child Benefit

Evidence of childcare attendance and location

Details of how childcare arrangements impact your ability to attend taught study before 9:30 am


Carer responsibilities

Description of carer responsibilities

Evidence of Carers Allowance (if applicable)

Other proof of dependency (as available)


If you have any further information you wish to be considered, please include this in a
covering letter.

By submitting your application you are declaring that the information provided is accurate to the
best of your knowledge. If it is subsequently discovered that fraudulent information has been
supplied, the University may commence disciplinary proceedings. Your parking facilities may be
withdrawn and your studies at the University could be terminated. Please confirm you agree with
these terms.
