Dear Student

The Community Nursing Team at Muiredge Surgery consists of Charge Nurse
Carolyn Tipping, Staff Nurse Linda McFarlane, Staff Nurse Michelle Campbell and
Nursing Auxiliary Lorna McVey.

We all wish to welcome you and look forward to you joining our team for your
community experience.

Our working hours are from 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You may also have
the opportunity to work one weekend during your placement.

You are expected to wear your full uniform according to the University of Dundee’s
uniform policy and a warm coat may be worn during the winter.

You will be allocated a mentor on your first day, who will help you towards achieving
your aims and expectations from this placement. Please bring your CAP Book,
Blue assessment form and fitness to practice sheet on the first day and have it
accessible to your mentor at all times.

Although we work for Muiredge Surgery we are based at Kennoway Health Centre.
Please telephone us prior to commencing placement to arrange a time and place for us
to meet on your first day. Telephone Kennoway Health Centre on 01333 350449
between 1.30pm - 4.30pm and ask to speak to Charge Nurse Carolyn Tipping.

There is no canteen available but we have access to a microwave, kettle and cooker.
There are also a variety of shops available to purchase food and drinks.
