Coming to London by rail or coach?
The closest railway station is Charing Cross, which is only about 6 minutes
along the Strand. Waterloo Station is also close, across the Waterloo Bridge:
12 minutes walk, or buses 139, 176.
From Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, connections are best via
the Piccadilly Line, getting off at Covent Garden tube station; or bus 91,
which stops opposite Southampton Street.
From Euston, it's quickest to use the West End side of the Northern Line
to Charing Cross tube station; or use the 91 bus.
From Paddington, take the Bakerloo line to Charing Cross; or, you can catch
the 15 or 23 bus right to the bottom of Southampton Street.
From Liverpool St, the Circle Line will bring you to Embankment or Temple
stations. Alternatively, catch buses 11 and 23 westbound.
From Victoria rail and coach stations, bus 11 offers the most direct journey.
The Circle and District lines bring you to Embankment, the 24 bus to Charing
Cross.

Taxi, taxi!
If you are arriving by taxi, a mention of the venerable & stylish Savoy Hotel
opposite Southampton Street is probably most useful, unless you are delivering
heavy equipment, or are in a wheelchair, and cannot easily cross the Strand and
make your way through the Southampton St semi-pedestrianised system.
In which case you should request 5 Southampton Street itself.
