SUGGESTED SETTLEMENT HIERACHY
Development is distributed over a number of settlements with most development in
the two main towns (Saffron Walden and Great Dunmow) and key villages
(Elsenham, Gt Chesterford, Hatfield Heath, Newport, Stansted Mountfichet, including
Foresthall Park, Takeley/Lt.Canfield and Thaxted). Small scale development in other
settlements may also be considered suitable (these are villages with some local
services such as a school or shop or pub etc:)
