Take care when going through your bees. If there is anything that does not look
right with the brood get an experienced beekeeper to have a look so that if
anything is amiss the inspector can be called. There are problems in the area.
Those members who live in the close vicinity and have been e-mailed by the
NBU will be contacted and an inspector will come and check your bees. If you
are not contacted you are not in the area near to where the trouble is. You need
not contact the inspectors unless you find an abnormality in your hive.
If you are called to collect a swarm first contact the secretary to see if it is in
the contaminated area. Such swarms should if taken be quarantined until they
can be seen to be healthy.
