Objectives:
Participants will receive an overview and orientation to the entire Leadership Tioga County Youth Leadership Program. Various team building exercises will be used. Participants will also be guided through the activities at the Tioga County Department of Human Services (TCDHS) by trained employees of TCDHS. Tioga County Department of Human Services Applicant Information & Confidential Medical Information Form completed. Please wear outdoor clothing. It is important to have appropriate supportive footwear for your safety, as you will be participating in outdoor exercises. Please do not wear sandals or open-toed shoes. Please wear athletic sneakers or hiking boots. Do not wear unsupportive (inexpensive) “tennis shoes” or fashionable “platform” style sneakers. Wear clothes that you will not mind getting dirty. Jeans or shorts are appropriate, but for safety and appearance reasons, please do not wear jeans or shorts that are ripped, too short, or fringed. Wear layered clothing to accommodate the temperature changes throughout the day. Be prepared to be outside in the rain, or in heat. (Dress according to the forecast.)
