Overview of the group/team
The Policy and Engagement Group is responsible for setting the policy framework and
authorising environment for Comcare decision makers, communications and knowledge,
media, review services, providing secretariat services, supporting the Seacare scheme and

information issues and activities. It leads and supports the organisation in the delivery of
consistent, coordinated, integrated and planned marketing and communications activities,
as well as relevant, timely and comprehensive library and knowledge services.
Overview of the role
As Assistant Director, Knowledge Management and Library Services, you will be responsible
for the implementation of Comcare’s knowledge and information management strategy. You
will examine how Comcare staff harness, acquire, share and use knowledge and
information, both internally and externally, and implement strategies and programs to meet
