NORWICH HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS GDST DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS Salary in the range £45,000 to £50,000 + benefits To start 1st September 2012 An excellent opportunity to join the senior leadership team of this highly successful and popular school. We require an enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable individual to oversee the organisation and smooth running of the non-teaching aspects of this busy and vibrant school. Responsible directly to the Head, the person appointed will become a key member of the senior leadership team, able to lead on the financial and administrative management of the school. Other responsibilities include oversight of the grounds, building maintenance, security, health and safety and the co-ordination of building projects. With 800 girls aged 3-18, the school is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) the largest group of independent schools in the UK. The school is located on a beautiful site off the Newmarket Road, Candidates should be experienced and well qualified, with a degree or excellent professional qualifications. They will need to demonstrate outstanding administrative, financial and project management skills, and an ability to work effectively with all members of the school community. The role is both varied and rewarding; no two days are the same. Excellent communication skills, a good sense of humour and willingness to roll one’s sleeves up are essential.
