Cowper Care is a charitable body and part of the Church of Ireland Dioceses
of Dublin and Glendalough. Our organisation promotes the highest possible
standards of care and accommodation for our residents both in our Nursing
Homes and Sheltered Housing settings. Due to a retirement we require a
Director of Care for our Nursing Home in Baldoyle, North Dublin.
Our dynamic and progressive nursing home group offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to
develop within our ethos of independence, dignity and quality of life for our clients. Our nursing home in
Baldoyle is operated in conjunction with the Congregation of Christian Brothers.
The successful applicant:
Must be a registered nurse (on the live register of nurses maintained by ABA)
Must have a minimum 3 years experience nursing the older person in the last 6 years
Should have 7 years post registration nursing experience
Should possess a minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience including team-leading,
resource planning and allocation in the last 6 years
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with groups such as residents, relatives/visitors,
employees, management and external bodies e.g. HSE, HIQA, etc
Post registration qualification in the care of the older person an advantage

Salary Scale €59,204 to €65,812 in 6 points
In the course of the next two years this service will be substantially and significantly developed. This will
result in a regarding of the position to a Band 3 Salary Scale which is currently €68,003 to €75,633 in 6
points.
