         Sub: Furnishing of Data in prescribed format DCF-II from the affiliated colleges to All
               India Survey on Higher Education.
         Ref: Letter No. ED/14/Mahiti 2012 dated 21.07.2012 of State Nodal Officer, All India
               Survey on Higher Education, Karnataka Govt., Secretariat, MS Building, Bangalore.
        The Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Govt. of India, is keen to build a reliable
and sound database for Higher Education to make informed policy decision and to provide
valuable data required for 12th Five Year Plan preparation, and to do so, it is proposed to
conduct an All India Survey on Higher Education. This would include surveys of all the higher
educational institutions in the country. Further Information on the survey may be obtained from
www.aishe.gov.in
        The Principals of all the affiliated colleges are hereby requested to furnish the data
pertaining to their colleges in the prescribed format (DCF-II) in hardcopy to the following
address on or before August 23, 2012 without fail.

         The DCF-II shall be downloaded from http://www.aishe.gov.in/aishe/dataCaptureFormat.
         After receiving the DCF-II data from the colleges in hardcopy, the nodal centres will be
identified and separate communication will be sent to the Principals to depute an official having
computer knowledge from the respective colleges to the identified nodal center for uploading
the DCF-II in softcopy.

        The Principals of the affiliated colleges are made accountable for furnishing the required
data at priority within the stipulated time i.e. on or before August 23, 2012.
