I am an Editor and Art Director with 5 years experience, during which time I have
built up an extensive contact list of writers, photographers, stylists, prs, bloggers and

Since taking on the role of Editor/ Art Director at SuperSuper I have taken it from a
quarterly title with a distribution of 40,000, to a monthly publication subject to major
investment and a global distribution of 150,000, driving the magazine to become a
major force in youth culture/ fashion publishing. I have also established
SuperSuper's reputation for producing cutting edge content, discovering new talent
first (both featured and contributing) and developed its continually evolving,
innovative art direction.

Key duties:

- Commissioning all content (both visual - shoots, art pieces etc, as well as written)
across print and online.
- Employing internal staff and building a large network of writers, photographers and
stylists to establish both the voice and art direction of the magazine
- Providing creative solutions and copywriting for advertorial and special projects
clients including Adidas, Asics, Casio, Palladium, Tiger Beer and G-Shock
- Co-ordinating, styling and art directing fashion editorials, trend pieces, advertorials
and cover shoots.
- Writing articles as needed, as well as proof reading and sub editing of all other
- Managing all social networking accounts including Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook

During my time as Features and Contributing Music Editor I developed as the
principle 'voice' at SuperSuper, writing all main features and cover pieces for the
magazine and establishing a wide network of other writers and people of interest to
commission all other features content.

- Writing all main (2000 word +) features pieces and cover stories.
- Commissioning, editing and proof reading all other features, comment and opinion
- Writing a regular music column, conducting interviews with a range of music acts
and compiling charts from established artists and DJs
- Co-ordinating music photo shoots and commissioning illustrations/ art treatments/
sourcing visuals for features pieces
- Contributing to regular editorial meetings for content across the magazine.
- Writing cultural, technology and style trend pieces as needed.

- Coordinating workshop bookings with local representatives for Manchester and 16
partner Universities

sourced at workshops

academic staff as well as post-graduate centres
