							   Job Description: Architectural Drafter



   Job responsibilities consist of operating computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment to
   produce designs, drawings, charts, forms and records. Analyzing technical documents
   including building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements to determine their
   effect on architectural designs. Coordinating structural, electrical and mechanical
   designs and determining a method of presentation to graphically represent building
   plans.     Drawing rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and
   structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and
   specification sheets. Obtaining and assembling data to complete architectural designs,
   visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary. Determining procedures and
   instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of
   required materials. Checking dimensions of materials to be used and assigning
   numbers to lists of materials.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

                          B.S. or foreign degree equivalent architecture or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: None.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:                Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package.


Full time: 40 Hr / Week
