BARTON G. WEISS
Barton G. Weiss is one of the most sought after event concept designers in the United
States. Known professionally as Barton G., he moved to Miami in 1993 with plans to
retire; instead he created a multi-million dollar niche event production, destination
management, catering and restaurant company, establishing himself as an
internationally recognized event designer, restaurateur and culinary visionary.
With clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and international sporting events to
socialites and philanthropists, his singular goal is to always transform a concept into a
three dimensional reality far exceeding anyone’s expectations. His company, with fully
vertical in-house operations, more than 450 employees and offices in Miami, New York
and Atlanta, is renowned for consistently delivering a superior level of creativity, design
and professionalism in the event production industry
In October 2002, Weiss entered a new arena with the opening of his restaurant, Barton
G. The Restaurant. Under his creative direction, this award-winning restaurant
continues to receive national and international accolades. In October 2009, he opened
his second restaurant, Prelude By Barton G. inside the Adrienne Arsht Center for the
Performing Arts in Miami.
Weiss took over the Versace Mansion in December 2009 and immediately rebranded it
as The Villa By Barton G. Following a multimillion renovation, The Villa hotel and
restaurant opened in March, carrying on the tradition begun by Gianni Versace.
