For more than a decade, Marlys Arnold has helped hundreds of companies and individuals improve their
professional image, either in workshops or private consultations. Combining image expertise with real-
world marketing experience, she also travels the country working with exhibitors and show managers to
help them maximize their trade show results. She has been featured in both radio and television
interviews, as well as included in numerous publications. She also hosts the Trade Show Insights podcast
and is co-founder of Kansas City's "Y.E.S. - Your Exhibit Success" network. In 2002, she authored her
first book, Build a Better Trade Show Image. Her second book, Pack Your Bags!, features packing and
travel tips and debuted in 2006 as an interactive book on CD-ROM.

One of the first 200 meeting professionals to receive his CMP (Certified Meeting Professional)
designation, Alton has been in the hospitality industry over 30 years.
Beginning as a Tour Manager leading special interest groups to destinations throughout the world, Alton
spent the first 17 years of his career in Tourism. Then, in 1987, after leaving Maupintour in Lawrence,
KS, he began what ultimately became AGENDA: Kansas City, a full service Destination Management
Company and its sister companies, AGENDA: USA, (providing chauffeured transportation throughout
Kansas City and the Midwest) and AGENDA: North America (providing Event Production and Group
Transportation services to clients throughout the nation).
Alton has been a member and a board member in many local and national hospitality related
organizations.

Nancy Hightshoe, M.A. ~ Nancy Hightshoe Seminars

Nancy presents seminars on resilience, change management, leadership, motivation, negotiation and
personal safety. She has spoken throughout the United States and in 17 foreign countries. Her
background is unique in that she was one of the first women in the nation to become a "street cop". She
designed the Sexual Assault Investigative Unit and, as a detective with that Unit, cleared 85% of her cases
(the national average is 49%). Nancy is the on-camera safety expert for St. Louis NBC affiliate and has
been a media spokesperson for AT&T. She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Relations and in The
Administration of Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her clients include NASA, Charles
Schwab & Company and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Nancy has been named to the
World Who’s Who of Women.

Todd Long is the Director of Leadership Training and Development at the
Pryor Center for Leadership Development at William Jewell College. Previously,
he was the Director of the Tucker Leadership Lab - one of the largest experiential
challenge courses in the nation. He has over 13 years of experience in experiential
learning and organizational training and development. Todd has worked with corporate, nonprofit,
educational, and church groups consulting, designing, and implementing training programs to help build
more cohesive teams and effective leaders. Todd’s career also included working for Harvsters in the
community relations department and Weight Watchers International as an area trainer.
Todd loves to give people learning experiences that lead to “awe-ha” moments.

Rebecca Stroder ~ Lawyer, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal
Rebecca’s first career took her to Japan, where she saw first hand the prevalence of copyright piracy.
That experience piqued her interest in copyright law, and Rebecca has turned that interest into a second
career as an attorney specializing in copyright, trademark, and licensing issues for Sonnenschein Nath &
Rosenthal.
Rebecca has represented both corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of copyright related
matters, from projects as simple as registering copyrights, to litigation, complex technology transfers, and
international transactional issues. Rebecca actively participates on the Education Committee for the
Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (“LIMA”), an international trade association whose
members range from Disney and Mary Engelbreit Studios to Sara Lee and Ford Motor Company.
Rebecca gives seminars and workshops nationally on legal issues facing the advertising industry,
including ownership and licensing problems, rights of publicity and privacy, trademark protection, and
false advertising.
Rebecca is well-versed in technology issues related to licensing and copyright, and devotes a significant
part of her practice to advising on transactions and litigation involving software, websites, and open
source issues.

Measuring almost 6’0”, Barbara’s height reaches almost as high as her skills and experience. From one-
on-one coaching to conducting executive briefings at the officer level, Barbara has over 20 years
experience working with and developing leaders in Fortune 500 companies. Her successful career focuses
on public speaking, corporate training and workshops. Her subjects are as varied and exciting as the
groups to which she has presented. She has a rich history in consulting, customer relationship
management, sales and leadership development and has presented to numerous high-powered audiences,
giving her a versatile background and solid skills to help business professionals raise their levels of
success.

Ms. Teicher has a strong background working in and with world-recognized service and
manufacturing corporations. She has delivered presentations on advanced technology solutions
to senior officers and executives of the most recognized name brands in the world as an integral
part of sales and marketing strategies. Barbara was also invited by a developer of advanced
business training packages to consult on and critique a new, executive simulation at the
University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

Ms. Teicher, winner of numerous corporate recognitions, including Action Management
Associates’ International “Million Dollar” award, is a master trainer and holds certifications in
