                    Unit #6 Activity – Troubleshooting, R&D and Experimentation



Assignment: Design a wind dispersed seed structure that will carry a single seed (dried
lima bean) the farthest distance possible. The final weight and surface area of your
design will be considered to determine the best design.

Remember: You have been provided with a wide range of supplies. You do not have to
use them all.

Constraints:
 Your invention may not cause damage to the seed.
 The seed must be held or fixed to the dispersal design.
 Seed must be dropped, not launched.
 Each seed dispersal structure will be tested 3 times and averaged for the best
   distance.

first draft design and choice of materials.
