               April 21, 2010

                   Design your Earth Day
                      T-shirt Project
This Earth Day is part of a 2-year initiative starting last year, called the Green
Generation CampaignTM! It marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day 2010.
Negotiations for a new global climate agreement are approaching and therefore, Earth
Day 2010 must be a day of action and civic participation.

The core principles of the Green Generation CampaignTM are as follows:
       A carbon-free future based on renewable energy that will end our common dependency on
           fossil fuels, including coal.
          An individual’s commitment to responsible, sustainable consumption of Earth’s resources.
           (including energy, protection of habitats and endemic species, freshwater sources, etc)
          The creation of a new green economy that lifts people out of poverty by creating millions of
           quality green jobs and transforms the global education system into a green one.

You are to design unique colored image with a compelling environmental message that
represents the ONE of core principles of the Green Generation CampaignTM stated above.

This design is an INDIVIDUAL project and will be printed/drawn/painted on a t-shirt.
You must provide your own t-shirt.

    Design must be include at least 3 colors.
    T-shirts must be one of the 2 colors: grey or white.
    Original hand-rendered or computer-generated work is acceptable.
    Design must include the words “Earth Day – April 22,2010”and “PPCHS”
    All designs must include a catchy, creative message that represents with the
    Each design must be submitted on white, non-lined computer paper for approval
      by me. Your designs must be on the front of the shirt. Designs on the back of
      the shirts are optional, but must still be approved by me.
    Your design must also include a separate piece of paper explaining, in one
      paragraph, the relevance of your design to Earth Day.

   DUE DATE for t-shirt designs: Monday, April 19th

               T-shirts will be worn to the Earth Day
                    Extravaganza on April 21st!
