Intermediate Level 5 Qualifications


These new qualifications are now available for Human Resource Management(HRM) or Human
Resource Development (HRD) professionals and managers.

There are 3 choices of qualification in Human Resources Management (HRM) or Human Resource
Development (HRD).

   An Award – between 3 and 12 credits are achieved – there is a free choice of units

   A Certificate – 32 unit credits are achieved

   A Diploma – 44 unit credits are achieved

There are 4 possible development routes to follow:

   A manager or HRM or HRD professional who wishes to update their knowledge and
    does not want a qualification

   A manager or HRM or HRD professional who wishes to have a unit Award

   An aspiring manager, or HRM or HRD professional who wishes to have the Certificate
    in Human Resources or the Diploma in HRM or the Diploma in HRD

   An HR or LD professional with the Certificate in Human Resources who wishes
    upgrade to the Diploma in HRM or the Diploma in HRD

Intermediate Level 5 Qualifications

Award in Human Resources (AHR)
Any combination of units in the suite may be taken – must have a minimum of 3 credits and a
maximum of 12 credits to qualify for an Award.


Certificate in HR Management (CHRM)
Needs to have 32 Credits – comprising 3 Core Units (14 credits) and a mixture of Optional Units -
at least 12 credits from Group A HRM Optional Units, a maximum of 6 credits from Group B HRD
