HOLOMIC POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE Software Engineer

REPORTING TO Director of Software Development

REPORTS None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

       Primary responsibility to develop and deliver production-grade software for Holomic products
        and meeting performance, schedule, and quality targets.

REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory requirements:

   Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineer or related field, or 7+ years
    relevant work experience
   Expert programmer in C and C++
   Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android, iOS
   Proficient in Matlab.
   Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving
   Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design
   Must already have legal right to work for any employer in the US


Highly desired skills:

   Image processing experience is a very strong plus
   Ruby on Rails web development experience
   Mobile application development experience ( Android and/or iPhone)
   Matlab, OpenCV, Nokia Qt 4, Javascript, and CUDA
   Database experience (basic SQL, MySQL, postgreSQL, or NoSQL)
   System administration experience (Linux or Unix)
   MVC, RESTful, or design pattern experience
