Australia’s Texpo 2012 features displays across the
ground floor of the Paul Cullen Centre at Enfield.The route
to check out all the displays is via a loop starting from the
left when you are facing front reception with an extra walk
down the corridor on your right to see some further
displays and make a visit at Millie’s Cafe. The technology
presentations are being held in a large meeting room past
Millie’s Café down towards the back of the building (check
with staff for presentation times).There will be volunteers
and staff available to guide you so please do not hesitate
to seek assistance.After picking up your show bag at the
front entrance, turn left and head down the first corridor.
The first room on your left is where seminars are being
held about NVDA, the free Australian-made screen reader
for computer access (check with staff for seminar times).
Continue along the corridor and there are two more rooms
on the left displaying the following services:Braille
ServicesTechnology and Training ServicesAt the end of
the corridor straight ahead is a room with the following
suppliers on display: Humanware
Oricom Easy Phones
European EyewearLions Visual Independence Foundation
Turn left when exiting this room and walk to the end of this
corridor where you will find on your left another large room
with the following suppliers on display. Note that along this
corridor on the right is the Accessible Toilet.Quantum RLV

Visitech MagnifiersOptek Systems
Walk straight ahead down the corridor when you exit this
display room. On your right along the corridor is the

your left along this corridor there are four rooms containing
the following displays:Children’s Services including use of
technology in the classroomAudio Description Services
and cinema loungeLibrary ServicesPlextor
C & P Design
Continue to the end of the corridor where you will find the
entrance to the Equipment Solutions shop straight ahead.
Inside this area you will find the following:Display kitchen
with hints and strategies for everyday living
Low Vision Clinic ServicesWhen you exit the Equipment
Solutions shop, turn left and along your left you will find
the following displays:FundraisingTelephone Services
Along your right you will find Seeing Eye Dogs and
Orientation and Mobility Services
At the end of this corridor you are back at front reception.
The dog run is located outside the front doors to the left.
Ask for guided assistance if necessary.
To continue viewing the displays at Texpo, turn left after
the Employment Services display and walk down the
corridor and through the first door on your right. Here you
will find the following displays:Association of Blind Citizens
Stakeholder RelationsBlind Citizens Australia
Bionic Vision Australia
Opposite the entrance to this area is Millie’s Café where
you can enjoy refreshments including a sausage sizzle
style lunch.Walk through Millie’s Café to reach outside.
Follow the perimeter of the building towards the right.
Proceed down the ramp and follow the path and signs to
the Wattle Room. This is where the technology
presentations are being conducted on a regular basis.
Two presentations topics are being covered at this year’s
Texpo: ebook technology and the new Library i-access
online catalogue; and handy and accessible apps for
people on the go. Check with staff for presentation start
times.You have now completed the route to check out all
displays at Texpo. To return to the front entrance turn right
out of the presentation room and proceed up the ramp
towards Millie’s Café. Turn left at the top of the ramp and
enter Millie’s Café. Walk through Millie’s Café and turn
right until you reach front reception where the exit is on
your left. Be sure to complete an evaluation form with one
