Hardin County Playhouse: 209 West Dixie Ave. (at the State Theater-Elizabethtown), 351-0577
From Ft. Knox: take 31 W south to Elizabethtown; drive past the mall area, past Hardin Memorial Hospital;
the road will narrow after the hospital and 31W will become Dixie Ave. Continue to drive straight ahead,
past St. James church on the left (stop light there). Go through the stop light and turn left after PNC bank on
the left into the parking lot of the State Theater. You will see the theater marquee. Enter under the green
canopy that says “Plum Alley” and “Hardin County Playhouse.” If the parking lot is full, you may park in

John Hardin Performing Arts Center: 384 West A. Jenkins Road, Elizabethtown (John Hardin High School)
769-8837 From Ft. Knox: drive straight up 31 W south toward Elizabethtown. Go past the Honda dealer on
the left; watch for the audio dealer, a used car lot and then a small, square green sign on the right to schools
(Helmwood Elementary, Bluegrass Middle School and John Hardin High School). Turn right at that light.
Across the street is a landscaping business. As you proceed up the small hill, you will see the top of the
theater silo on the right. Go past the grade school and middle school. Turn right into the parking lot of John
Hardin High School. The Performing Arts Center is the first door on the right (coming from 31W).. Look
for the huge sign Performing Arts Center above the door. (www.thepac.net)

Bardstown-The Stephen Foster Story: (There are many ways to get to Bardstown from Ft. Knox.)
You are going to My Old Kentucky Home State Park, 502-348-5971; 800-626-1563 Take 31W to Highway
313. Drive through Radcliff toward Elizabethtown. Turn left at intersection of Highway 313 and 31W.
McDonald’s is on the left. There will be a left turn lane. Take 313 to 65 North. Exit at exit 105 and turn left
at the bottom of the ramp onto Highway 62. CAUTION: the stop sign is in front of you across the
intersection. Turn left onto Highway 62 and go straight several miles; go around the traffic circle and stay to
the right. At the 2nd light-watch for sign to park-turn right and follow signs to the park. You will turn left

Music Theatre-Louisville at Iroquois Amphitheater: Iroquois Park, 502-589-4060 Take 31 W to Gene
Snyder EAST to Louisville; take exit 6 New Cut Road; turn left at the end of the ramp; travel straight ahead
@ 3.1 miles and turn left into the park HOME: Turn right at Highway 841 West (the same road is also
Gene Snyder freeway), follow signs to Ft. Knox and Valley Station. Turn left at the sign for Ft. Knox/Valley
Station. You will be on 31W. // Alternate directions if you live on the southern end of the county: take 313
to I65 North. Take Gene Snyder WEST. Take the New Cut Rd. exit-exit 6 and turn right at the end of the

Shakespeare in the Park: 502-637-4933 Take 31 W to Gene Snyder Freeway to Louisville; turn right onto
Freeway; (or Highway 313 to 65 North-Louisville); take 65 North to St. Catherine West. Turn left at the
bottom of the ramp (you are now on East St. Catherine). Turn left onto South 3rd Street. Turn right on
Magnolia. The park will be on your right. Park along the street. HOME: get onto Magnolia and stay

Kentucky Center for the Arts: 501 West Main Street, Louisville 40202-2919 800-775-7777 OR
502-584-7777 Take 31W to Gene Snyder Freeway to Louisville; turn right at 65 North Louisville (or take
Highway 313 to 65 North); exit at Brook Street exit B. Keep straight. Turn left on 3rd street (if you don’t,
you will go over the bridge into Indiana), turn right on 5th street into parking garage on the left OR turn

Stage One at the Kentucky Center for the Arts: same address as Kentucky Center for the Arts, same phone
numbers and same directions. For Stage One: go past the box office on the right of the lobby, climb the
stairs on the right and Stage One is on the right. HOME: go straight up 6th street or 5th street; turn left on
Broadway (The streets run: Market, Jefferson, Liberty, Mohammed Ali, Chestnut then Broadway). Turn
right on 2nd street (there is a church on the left). Immediately get into the left hand lane to merge onto 65

Actors’ Theater: 316 West Main Street, 502-584-1205, 1-800-4-285849 (1-800-4 ATL TIX) Take 31W to
Gene Synder Freeway to Louisville, take 65 North to Louisville or take Highway 313 to 65 North, exit at
Brook Street. Stay straight ahead and turn left on Main Street. Go to 3rd street and turn left into the parking

The Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurant: 235 West Market, 502-581-1070 From the Ky. Center for the Arts,
turn onto 6th street, turn left onto Market. Drive up Market to 3rd Street. Parking is past the restaurant on the
left. This restaurant does not take reservations.

Kentucky Repertory Theater: 101 East Main Street, 270-786-1200 Take 31 W to Highway 313. Take 65
South (right turn) to Nashville. Take 65 South to the Horse Cave exit (also Kentucky Down Under), turn
left. Go straight until you come to a very stiff right curve, go over the hill to the downtown area. Cross the
railroad tracks. The theater is just past the light on the right. The parking lot is behind the theater. Note:

Louisville Ballet: 501 West Main Street , Louisville (in the Kentucky Center for the Arts),

Derby Dinner Playhouse: 525 Marriott Drive, Clarksville, Indiana, 877-898-8577. Take I-65 south to Indiana.
Once across the bridge, you will then be in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Take Highway 62 (exit 1)/Stansifer Ave exit.
Turn left on Marriott Dr. There is a wide range of ticket prices as well show times (matinees and evening
performances). The least expensive seats are @$32.00. All prices include a buffet dinner with dessert available
during intermission. The dessert is an extra cost. The stage is in the middle with seating around it on all four

Pine Knob Theatre: 2250 Pine Knob Rd., Caneyville, KY 270-879-8190. Take the 31W Bypass in
Elizabethtown to merge right on Western Ky. Parkway. Continue to Exit 94-KY 79-Caneyville and
Morgantown. Turn right at the fork to continue on KY 79. Turn left onto Pine Knob Rd., then turn right to stay
on Pine Knob Rd. Follow Pine Knob Rd. to the theatre. This is theatre under the stars in an open air
amphitheater. Tickets range from $15 and discounts are available. There is also a pre-show cookout for $5.00

J.B. Speed Art Museum: 2035 South Third Street, Louisville, KY 502-636-2893. Take I 65 North to
Louisville. Exit at (133B, US 60 Alt W) Eastern Pkwy. Bear right onto E. Warnock Street. Bear right onto
Crittenden Dr. Take a sharp right turn onto Eastern Pkwy. Turn right again onto Third Street. There is a parking
garage behind the museum. The cost for parking is $1.50 per hour. Getting Home: Go south on Third Street.
Turn left onto (ALT US 60) Eastern Pkwy. Take I 65 South toward Nashville.

Allegro Dance Theater: 1003 North Wilson Road, Radcliff 352-0291 Exit post from the Wilson Road gate.
The school is located in the first of the pink bricked buildings across from Appleby's. Turn right into the parking
lot and follow the lot down. The entrance to the school is the first door on the left.
