Advert closing: Noon, 12th September 2012.

A unique and rewarding opportunity to lead an outstanding
team addressing the learning needs of pupils with profound
learning difficulties.

The Governing Body of this outstanding special school is
looking for a new headteacher to fill the vacancy left by our
current head who is retiring after leading the school for the past
20 years. We are looking for a headteacher with knowledge
and understanding of the learning needs of pupils with the
most profound learning difficulties.

The Governors want Breakspeare to continue and extend its'
active profile in the local authority, with local schools and the
community particularly within the village of Abbots Langley.

The new headteacher will:
* Commit to developing the excellent ethos that makes
Breakspeare extra special.
* Ensure that pupils continue to thrive and that their needs are
kept paramount.
* Be passionate about teaching and learning.

The Governors would like to invite prospective applicants to
make an informal visit to our school by prior arrangement with
the Headteacher, Gill Williamson, on 01923 263645. Further

Breakspeare is committed to safeguarding and promoting the
welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to
share this commitment. An enhanced CRB check will be
required for this post.
