Requisition 8R0626 Attachment - 1 Records Analyst Job Description Title Duties: Senior Records /Information Specialist Assist records management staff with on-going operations of the records management/EDWS system and program activities that include the following:    Provide training to peers, management and support group personnel in the identification, classification, indexing of records. Provide assistance and guidance to customers with records retention determination. Manage the transfer and maintenance of physical record inventories within the Records Management Department storage facilities, ensuring proper identification and security for archived records. Respond to customer requests for records including conducting complicated database searches for information, retrieval of physical records, and providing copies to the requestor either electronically or hard copy as needed. Evaluate and facilitate database enhancements to improve the literature search and retrieval services Provide research of legacy records holdings to determine those records eligible for destruction based on demolition of facilities. Approve and direct the destruction of records which have met their legal retention dates Assist customers in the analysis of electronic information systems and certification of electronic records systems Provide training to management and coordinate efforts to meet DOE requirements for annual verification of vital records inventory       Experience/Skills     Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in government or nuclear industry is an asset 5-7 years of records management experience Experience in fulfilling a lead technical role in the development/delivery of Information and Records Management products and services or in supervising functional RM organizations. Requisition 8R0626    Attachment - 1 Proficient in use of computers, function and use of records management applications. Specialized knowledge of records management principles, best practices and Federal Government laws and regulations pertaining to management of official government records. Specialized knowledge of National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) regulations, policies, and guidelines pertaining to records management in Federal Government agencies. Work Hours A 40 hour work week is scheduled. The 40 hour work week will consist of (4) 9 hour work days with (1) 8 hour work day on Friday. The subcontractor will work a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday off. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30minute lunch. Candidate must be capable of obtaining a DOE L clearance. It is required to perform assigned duties.
