Deputising as required for the Head, in rotation with the other deputy.
Both deputies will cover both curricular and pastoral tasks
Playing a full role in SLT in school self-evaluation and improvement planning
Attending relevant meetings of Governors and its’ subcommittees – you will lead one of these
committees for the school management side
Teaching a timetable to be arranged by the headteacher
Taking a share of Senior Leadership whole school Duties
The remaining of responsibilities are negotiatable depending on candidates experience and interests.
However, it is envisaged that in the first instance they may include:
6th form standards
6th form development and pupil progress
Line management of some faculties and Head of 6th Form
Diploma program and AS/2
Staff meetings and training
CPD – including mentoring, coaching and middle leader development
Competency and capability
Initial teacher training including PGCE placements and GTPs, and the significant development of
The post holder will share with other members of the Senior Leadership Team in the strategic leadership of
the school including the maintenance and enhancement of its character, standards and ethos. The post holder
may be required to undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with the terms and conditions of staff
paid on the Leadership Spine in accordance with the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document.
